Description from the Hub of Detroit’s Website regarding the youth Earn-A-Bike program:

“Youth Earn-A-Bike sessions are where youth ages 8-16 are able to earn a single bicycle of their choosing by building and repairing this bicycle with our qualified staff and volunteers for at least two (2) Earn-A-Bike sessions. Each session is approximately three (3) hours in length, and they are held on Saturday afternoons all year long. During warmer months we have multiple sessions of Youth Earn-a-Bike.”

Ultegra Di2 Electronic Shifting

Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting is now available on some bike models. The shifting is crisp and clean with very low effort. On the Giant Defy Advanced 0, the cable routing is neatly internal with a built in battery mount on the chainstay, making for a much cleaner installation.

The new group offers a more affordable setup as well as a more use friendly system. Installation has been made much easier with Ultegra Di2 as it utilizes a more compact wire harness.

Come by and take a look at the new Ultegra Di2 on the Giant Defy Advanced 0!

Get the 29er advantage. Giant 29ers in stock, hardtail and full suspension. {read more}

29er Advantage:

Larger wheels roll better over obstacles due to a lower shallower angle of approach

Greater momentum due to larger wheel and tire diameter

More stable through loose terrain and at high speed

Increased ground clearance due to higher bottom bracket

29ers offer advantages for many riders. A more stable ride and greater momentum due to a larger wheel diameter are attributes that any mountain biker can appreciate. The larger wheels allow taller riders to have a more proportional feel to their bicycles. The larger volume tires are often capable of running lower tire pressures for greater traction and increased ride comfort.

Come by Great Lakes Cycling & Fitness to try out both hardtail and full suspension options by Giant!
